In an exciting conclusion to their group stage, Thailand overcame Cambodia 3-2 at Rajamangala Stadium on December 20, 2024. Akarapong Pumwisat was the highlight, scoring twice to help the reigning champions secure the win.

Cambodia started strong, with Andres Nieto scoring the opener in the 32nd minute. However, Thailand quickly equalized through Akarapong. The second half saw Thailand dominate, with Akarapong netting again and Chalermsak Aukkee adding a third goal. 

Despite a late goal from Cambodia's Abdel Kader Coulibaly, it wasn't enough to change the outcome.


Thailand finished the group stage with a perfect record, while Cambodia exited the tournament with one win, one draw, and two losses.
